Happy Holidays and welcome to our fifth newsletter.

Some Recent 1 of 52 AHN Events:

·August '98, India Point Park, Providence, Food drive to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank in conjunction with radio station WBRU 95.5 FM as part of the WBRU free summer concert series. Fastball and Candlebox were the featured acts.

·September '98, Newport Yachting Center, food dive to benefit RICFB at Taste of Rhode Island. 1 of 52 Artist James Montgomery performed.

·November '98, Chuck Smith's "For Food" organization raffled off a Guild acoustic guitar, one of three donated by the Guild Guitar Company of Westerly. This event benefited the Amos House shelter in Providence and was part of an open mike series that also helped the North Kingstown Food Pantry and the Jonnycake Center.

·November '98, the BAINCATS, (Creative and Talented Students) staged a hunger benefit at their Bain Middle School. BAINCATS have asked to have their name added to the 1 of 52 Roster in Rhode Island. Their teacher Glenn Dewell, a 1 of 52 Hunger Artist himself, will carry on their tradition annually.

·Also dozens of other 1 of 52 events that space won't allow, but are going on all the time. Such is the nature of this program. They all know I know!

The 1 of 52 Compilation Album is becoming a reality and the submissions have been great! We are preparing this first release and then will put out a national search for other socially conscious songs for future editions.

The real news here is the progress made on the distribution end. The compilation will be released on the Open Door Record Label. Their website at OpenDoorMusic.com rivals any online music source. So once the project is complete, it will have immediate international exposure.

Submissions are always welcome.

And as always, anything you can do to help spread the concept through word of mouth, linking our web page to your's, copying our flyer and sharing it with other artists, etc., is greatly appreciated. You can also consider these types of actions part of your 1 of 52 participation.

Peace in the New Year, Steve.
