On Sunday, September 27th, at the Newport Yachting Center, America's
Cup Blvd., Newport, RI from 2 to 6 PM, The James Montgomery Band
presented a 1 of 52 Artist Hunger Network concert event at the Taste
of Rhode Island. Attendees brought non-perishable food items to benefit
the Rhode Island Community Food Bank to receive $1.00 off the $3.00
admission charge. The Taste of Rhode Island features the best cuisine from
restaurants statewide.
The 1 of 52 Artist Hunger Network is an ongoing grassroots program that
is organizing 52 local and national artists in each state, each representing
one week of the year, who take action annually to help end hunger. This
is James Montgomery's second event for the program.
